Health Coverage Saves Lives
We all want Idaho’s families to be able to go to the doctor and get the preventive care they need before it’s too late. The consequences of living without health insurance are devastating our communities and families, as illustrated by this tragic story from Idaho Falls. Cancers are going undiagnosed until it is too late to intervene. Mental illnesses are left untreated because medications are too costly.
We can change that. Improved health care access could prevent 76-179 deaths in Idaho next year, an estimate based on reduced deaths seen in other states.

Closing the coverage gap would help Idaho achieve the kind of communities we want to live in—healthy and strong. Healthy Idahoans can be productive members of our communities.
